Why we use Open Source Software

Rosiedog Creative is proud to use open source software with every website we develop, specifically the Joomla! Content management system .

By using open source software, many of the bugs and glitches typically associated with web development are found and fixed before most users even know there is a problem. With millions of other users using the same software tools to build their sites, and with a large active online community of users, keeping updated on the newest developments is easy.

Plus, if you need a special application for your website , most of the time something similar has been done before, so all it takes is a little tweaking of an already made application.  This saves both time and money with the development and design of the site, which is passed on to the customer.

Our goal is to have websites that are not only attractive and serve their purpose, but also for them to be fully functional and live while other companies are still in the development phase.

The other benefit of using Joomla! is the fact that it is a very easy system to work with.  If you want a new page, item in your ecommerce catalog, or even a new menu item, it is very easy to create and you can do it yourself.  This also saves time and money for you, as you do not have to wait for your web designer to have time to add these items for you.
